Mishka Israel is the creator and author of Stormcaller: Silver Eyes, a dark fantasy series inspired by her family history and personal journey through trauma and abuse. Through Ari Stormcaller, she transformed fear, grief, and anxiety into a story of survival, freedom, chosen family, and hope.
Creating Stormcaller has given her a constructive way to process painful experiences while imagining a future shaped by healing rather than fear. Ari’s journey reflects the courage required to reclaim one’s voice, rebuild a sense of safety, and discover strength after being made to feel powerless.
Mishka Israel hopes her stories will remind readers who have felt trapped, silenced, or alone that their pain does not define them—and that even after the darkest storm, a new beginning is possible.
